why do i need this?

How do I clean it?

Easy. Just toss it in the dishwasher — top rack’s best.Or wash by hand with warm soapy water. Food-grade silicone doesn’t absorb smells or stains, so it comes up looking fresh with minimal effort. That said, silicone can attract a bit of dust if it’s been sitting out (it’s a little clingy like that). A quick rinse or wipe with a damp cloth before use sorts that right out. And if it ever feels filmy, soak it in a mix of vinegar and water to bring it back to life.
