Designed and custom made by Once Over, this premium range of dog beds are handmade from locally sourced, reclaimed Tasmanian oak flooring, made to order in Once Overs Melbourne based studio.

This premium range caters for small, medium, large and extra large dogs and come with matching custom fit cushions and cushion covers.

Once Over proudly design and make all cushion covers with locally sourced materials and trims. All beds are made to order and are printed locally with a custom design to minimise wastage. Each cushion cover is handmade in Once Overs home studio from consciously sourced fabrics that are made from natural or recycled fibres.

Cushion inserts are Australian made and are filled with luxuriously soft, polyfil derived from recycled plastic bottles and are channel stitched for longevity.

How do I know what size is right?

We recommend measuring the space you intend on placing your bed. And of course your doggo.

We also ask if they're a curl up kind of sleeper, or spread it all out, as this can impact your size of choice.

what are the holes for?

Those holes are there on purpose for airflow and comfort. Dogs run warm, and ventilation holes help prevent heat and moisture from building up underneath them while they rest. It’s a small but important detail that keeps everything fresh, dry, and breathable, bit more importantly, comfy.

but my dog is old

Every Once Over timber bed is handmade to order using reclaimed Tassie Oak timber. There are hours (and hours) of hands-on craftsmanship behind each one—measuring, cutting, sanding, sealing, sewing and assembling by hand, just for you.

We even send you photo/video updates of your bed coming to life.

You’re not buying a mass-produced dog bed. You’re commissioning a unique piece, built to last, designed by you, and finished with care. No shortcuts, no copies—just one beautiful bed that’s as special as the dog who sleeps in it.

how do i clean it?

Bed
Your bed has had a matte sealant applied to protect the timber. To maintain your timber bed simply vacuum dirt from the interior frame and then wipe clean with a damp cloth. 

Cushion
Our fabrics have been gently pre-washed to minimise shrinkage. Turn cover inside out to protect print. Cold Machine wash. Warm iron on reverse.

Insert
Air on line. If the case requires washing, remove fill and cold machine wash. Return filling to case

what if gets damaged at home?

Once Over pride themselves on making dog beds to last your dogs lifetime but they also understand that accidents can happen. So for peace of mind Once Over offer a repair service for your dog's wooden frame. Just get in touch with us and Once Over will do their best to bring your dog's forever bed back to its former glory.

Processing time: Please acknowledge a temporary change to processing times. Mark and Caroline from the Once Over Workshop have just welcomed baby #2. We're very happy for them.

Due to this, and high order volumes, processing times for your order will be 6 weeks until further notice. This is to look after bubs, while also taking the care and love they're known for in making your order come to life.

Order placement & build:

Day 0-1: Order placed and sent for build.

Day 2-10: Build commences

Day 11-35: (no later than): You'll receive progress report of your custom order.

Day 36-42: Custom order quality checked and prepared for shipment

Shipping costs: This product comes with FREE shipping.

Exchanges: We hope you love our hand crafted items when they arrive at your door and would never want to exchange your furry one's custom bed. Although this may not always be the case, we do offer a 14 day exchange policy from date of purchase, as long as the items is in 'brand new' condition. Please contact us if you wish to seek an exchange.

This is not guaranteed as it will be subject to the team members at Once Over for review before they can proceed with the exchange. Any postage costs for returning the product and sending a new one will also be at the buyers expense. With all of this in mind we stress that you choose carefully but have no doubt your fur friend will fall in love at first sight.

Returns: If you want to return your product, you must do so within 14 days of your receipt and notify us first. Once 14 days lapse we will not be able to offer a refund.

Once we have received the item and a team member has reviewed it we will confirm or deny whether or not you are eligible for a refund. In the case of approval we will send you a notification via email and an automatic credit will be applied to your original payment method (unfortunately shipping costs will not be refunded).

All shipping costs are non-refundable. This includes the costs involved in returning your item to our workshop for review. We strongly recommend you use a tracking for insurance on your return shipping as we cannot take responsibility for its arrival to us.

All orders are sent in recycled and/or recyclable mailers, secured with compostable packing tape.

Your products are packaged in recycled and/or recyclable packaging.

If re-using or repurposing your packaging such as jars or satchels please be sure to wash thoroughly with warm soapy water.

We kindly ask that you do your bit by recycling and composting appropriately.
