how do they break down?

These bags are designed to decompose in composting environments where oxygen, moisture, and microbial activity are present. Under these conditions, the bags transform into organic matter without leaving harmful residues.

However, it's important to note: In landfill settings, where oxygen and microbial activity are limited, the breakdown process is significantly slowed or may not occur effectively.

While the bags themselves are compostable, composting dog waste requires caution. Pet waste can contain pathogens, so it's generally advised not to use compost containing dog waste on edible plants. If you choose to compost pet waste, ensure it's done in a dedicated composting system designed for pet waste.
