These natural hemp leads are premium quality, ultra stylish and won't cost the earth!  Made with all natural fibres of organic hemp and cotton webbing, no pesticides or nylon is used and all fittings are metal.  Hemp is a very strong fibre and superior to other fabrics.  It's breathable, non irritating and recommended for dogs with sensitive skin or skin issues.

Clean buckle with water after contact with salt water to prevent rust and sand jamming the clip.

What if my doggos between sizes?

The Essential Dog collars have between 7 and 16cm adjustability. If your doggo is between two sizes or right on the cusp, we recommend choosing the smaller size as the organic materials will relax over time. Kind of like your leather shoe.

How do I put it on?

To put on the collar, simply unclip the side-release buckle, slide it around your dog’s neck, and clip it back in place. You’ll want to adjust the strap so it sits snug — not too tight, but close enough that you can comfortably slip two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck. The D-ring, where you attach the lead, should sit at the top.

Attaching the lead is easy — just clip the metal snap hook onto the D-ring on the collar. The handle at the other end of the lead is designed to sit comfortably in your hand

Hypollaergenic, how?

The cotton used in Essential Dog collars and leads is natural, breathable, and non-irritating, unlike many synthetic materials that can cause chafing or allergic reactions.

They’re also free from harsh dyes and chemicals This makes them gentler not just on your dog’s skin, but also better for the environment.

If your pup gets itchy or irritated with nylon or polyester gear, these cotton accessories are a soft, soothing alternative.

Is it machine washable?

To keep your collar and lead looking great and lasting longer, we recommend a gentle clean that protects both the fabric and the hardware.

You can machine wash them using a cold wash on a gentle or low spin cycle. Pop them into a calico laundry bag or pillowcase to prevent the hardware from clanking against the machine or getting scratched. Use a mild detergent to avoid irritating sensitive skin — and skip the bleach or fabric softener.

Alternatively, you can hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a gentle soap. Gently scrub any muddy bits with your fingers or a soft cloth, rinse thoroughly, and hang them to air dry in the shade.

Avoid hot water and direct sun when drying, as this can cause natural dyes to fade or run.
