How do I put it on?

Lay the vest out flat and undo the Velcro straps at the front, which are the main entry point. With the vest open, gently guide your dog’s front legs through the openings. Then, wrap the front section of the vest around your dog’s chest and fasten the Velcro securely, making sure it sits snugly but comfortably.

Check that the leash entry point at the neck is aligned with your dog’s collar or harness, and that the vest is sitting evenly along their back. Once it’s all fastened, give your dog a little kiss and make sure they can move freely and comfortably in it.

What does water resistant mean?

Water-resistant means the material can resist some amount of water but not entirely block it. In other words, a water-resistant dog vest like the Pooch & Hound Puffer will help keep your dog dry in light rain or drizzle, but it won't fully protect them in heavy downpours or if they’re soaked.

Think of it like a light rain jacket—it repels water to a but isn’t 100% waterproof.

Materials

The puffer jacket is nylon-free. The outer layer is made from water-resistant polyester, designed to repel light rain and keep your pooch dry on drizzly days. Inside, the insulation features a poly-faux fur lining that’s soft, warm, and cosy.

Is it machine washable?

Yep, these jackets are machine washable because we know dogs like to roll in... all sorts of things. Just pop it in a cold, gentle cycle, then lay it flat to dry. Avoid using fabric softeners to keep it in top shape.

We strongly recommend air drying over tumble drying.
